Oh hey, you found my old blog
Though it’s changed looks over the years, this blog has been in online in one shape or another since 2011. Infrequently updated, it’s held my random, generally tech-based thoughts for anybody to come and read. Will it get updated again? Maybe! I don’t feel obligated to write anything new, but I do feel the need to say a little something about myself.
Hi, I’m Carson Brown. I’ve worked in tech for over 10 years, and now do it on a contract-by-contract basis. Since abandoning this blog, I’ve reconnected with other creative parts of myself, chasing that happy.
I fell back in love with writing and tabletop over the pandemic, and it’s become a big part of my life now. Any given week I’m likely playing or running at least one RPG session. Since 2022, I’ve been creating tabletop content under the imprint Single Stage to Orbit Press. In the past 6 months, I’ve run two successful crowdfunding projects, one with 20+ teammates, and the other on my own.
I plan to release more projects in that space, and will announce them as part of the SSTO moniker. It’s been a great change of pace, and the work is far more rewarding than I could have guessed.
All my old content on here will remain up. Though a lot of it is no longer be relevant, I’m happy to leave it here. Almost like a time capsule.
